Well, now that I'm embarking on this world of blogging (with much trepidation!), I figured I'd do the requisite "About" page.
My name is Melanie, and while I do have a day job that pays the bills, I found myself taking on "projects" with reckless abandon in my off hours after I bought my first house in 2012. In some ways, I was more motivated by the desire not to spend a small fortune for someone else to renovate the kitchen than I was by a belief in my own abilities. However, being me, I plowed in head first, and after fitting my basement out with far more power tools than I had any business possessing, I started PROJECTS.
Having been bitten by the DIY bug, friends and family gave me gracious praise and motivated me to share with "the world". So, here I am. :)
